Overview
Horizontal arranged Three Roll Mill with the roll materials are made by Ceramic and pressure applied by hydraulic.The dispersion machine that consists three different roll rotation speed and suitable for processing Mid to High viscous materials.
INOUE Three Roll Mill was first made almost a century ago. This machine consists of three rolls each of which has a different revolution speed. Material is processed by the compression effect produced by the pressure between rolls and by the shearing effect produced by rolls with different revolution speeds. Three Roll Mill is best suitable for processing materials with medium- to high- viscosity. Recently, clients' demand for Three Roll Mill for milling electronic materials and the most advanced materials is enormously growing. Compared with other machines, less residue of a processed material is left behind on the surface of the rolls. Furthermore, the machine can be easily cleaned thanks to simple structure and shape. Three Roll Mill can be used for defoaming and packing. In addition, temperature of processed materials can be controlled by the cooling/heating system.
Mechanism of milling
Three cylinder-shape rolls are arranged horizontally or aslant. Each roll revolves in different directions and at different speeds. When mill base is passed through between the rear roll and the center roll and the center roll and the front roll, mill base is deagglomerated dispersed by compression, shearing force, and cavitation.How the mill base is processed by the three roll mill is described as follows. First, mill base is charged to the space between the rear roll and the center roll, which are revolving inwardly at different speeds. Mill base passed through between the rear roll and the center roll undergoes enormously high compression and shearing force. At this point, mill base is deagglomerated and dispersed. Since the speed of the center roll is faster than that of the rear roll, mill base is transfered to the center roll. The same process takes place between the center roll and the front roll. Finally, mill base is scraped by the scraper knife of the apron for collection.
