Superior performance in efficiently mixing a large volume of fine solids (powder) and a small volume of liquids. Planetary rotation of twin twisted blades offers powerful mixing and kneading efect, and a high speed blade provides high shear force.
The INOUE PD MIXER boasts superior performance in efficiently mixing a large volume of fine solids (powder) and a small volume of liquids. Each twisted open frame type blade rotates on its own axis as well as in a planetary orbit, creating strong mixing, kneading, dispersing effect. Furthermore, the turbine-shaped tips positioned along the blade impact and shear the material. Materials with a wide range of viscosities can be mixed and kneaded with the INOUE PD MIXER, and, particularly, the time reduction of the let-down process after the strong kneading process can be achieved.
Two types of INOUE PD MIXER are available: the PD type with one cylinder and the PDG type with two cylinders for head lifting.

Features
■Materials viscosity
Materials with wide range of viscosities can be mixed and kneaded, from 1~1,00 Pa.s (1,000~1,000,000 cps).
■Blade
The pair of twisted open type blades (45°or 90°twist) and the high-speed turbine blade rotates on their own axis as well as in a planetary orbit. These planetary movements result in the supreme efficiency and uniformity of mixing, kneading, and dispersion.
■Strong kneading and shortened letdown time
The planetary orbit of both the pair of twisted open type blades and the high-speed turbine blade, combined with the precise machining of the blades and the tank, produces excellent kneading effects and drastically reduces letdown process time.
■Cleaning
Compared with horizontal kneaders which support both ends of a horizontal shaft, the INOUE PD MIXER supports the top end of a vertical blade shaft. This construction facilitates cleaning, and the interchangeable tank ensures safety.
■Discharging
The tank inner surface is precisely machined to match the INOUE RAM PRESS (Ram-type highly viscous materials press out machine), which can discharge nearly all (99%) of the material from the tank and which makes possible automated transfer of the material to the next process.
■Tank stabilization
The tanks of the PD models are fixed in place by means of manual clamps, and those of the PDG models by hydraulic cylinder tank clamps.
■Vacuum/decompression
If a vacuum hood and mechanical seal are used, the INOUE PM MIXER can be operated under vacuum and decompressed conditions for low-temperature boiling, defoaming, and dehydration. The vacuum hood and the mechanical seal are optional.
■Cooling/heating
The tank jacket permits cooling and heating. The tank jacket is optional.
■Safety device
An interlocking safety device stops blade rotation when the mixer unit rises from the tank.
■Options
Various other devices and measuring instruments are optionally available.
