The PD Mixer (3-shaft) is a kneader・mixer・agitator with improved low-speed blade diameter size and arrangement, and further powerful kneading and agitation effects by planetary motion with two twisted type blades and high shear force by two high-speed mixers.
The INOUE PDF MIXER boasts superior performance in efficiency mixing a large volume of fine solids (powder) and a small volume of liquids. Each two twisted open frame type planetary blade side are larger in diameter than our PD mixer (3-shaft), and the blade arrangement has been modified to achieve a narrower clearance between the blades.The narrow clearance and large blade diameter effects improve planetary kneading (mixing, kneading, and dispersion). The mixer also has an additional high-speed turbine blade shaft to improve the mixing and shearing effects.As the same as PD Mixer, the materials with a wide range of viscosities can be mixed and kneaded, especially “Hard kneading・Dilution process” makes increases the quality and shorten the dilution processing time can be achieved.The types of INOUE PDF Mixer are available : the PDF type with one cylinder and the PDFG type with two cylinders from head lifting. (F : Four Four shaft : 2 shaft of Planetary, 2 shaft of Turbine blade)
Features
■Materials viscosity
Materials with wide range of viscosities can be mixed and kneaded.
Applicable viscosity 1 – 1000Pa・s (1000 – 1000000mPa・s)
■Blade
The pair of twisted open type blades (90°twisted) and the system is composed of four axes of planetary motion rotation with two high-speed turbine blades that rotate in synchronization with the rotation and orbital motion, enabling even agitation, kneading, and dispersion in the tank without dead space.
■Hard kneading and dilution
The planetary orbit of both the pair of twisted open type blades and two high speed turbine blades, combined with the precise machining of the blades and the tank, produces excellent kneading effects and drastically reduces dilution time.
■Cleaning
Compared with horizontal kneaders which support both ends of a horizontal shaft, the INOUE PDF MIXER support the top end of a vertical blade shaft. This construction facilitates cleaning, and the interchangeable tank ensures safety.
■Discharging
The tank inner surface is precisely machined to match the INOUE RAM PRESS (Ram-type highly viscous materials press out machine), which can discharge nearly all (99%) of the material from the tank and which makes possible automated transfer of the material to the next process.
■Tank stabilization
The tanks of the PDF models are fixed in place by means of manual clamps (Manual fixing method) and those of the PDFG models by hydraulic cylinder tank clamps.
■Vacuum / Decompression
As applying the vacuum hood and the mechanical seal are option and if a vacuum hood and mechanical seal are used, the INOUE PDF MIXER can be operated under vacuum and decomposed conditions (low-temperature boiling・ deforming・and certain rank of dehydration) during mixing.
■Cooling / Heating
The tank jacket permits cooling and heating. The tank jacket is optional.
■Safety device
An interlocking safety device stops blade rotation when the mixer unit rises from the tank.
■Options
Various other devices and measuring instruments are optionally available.
