Outline
High-quality, circulation type media mill. All processing stages can be conducted with a single machine. Easily cleaned with short time since no feeding pump is required.
The MP Mill is designed and manufactured to close tolerances so that a perfect seal is effected on all mating surfaces, therefore enabling the unit to operate as a pumpless milling and dispersion system. The product is passed through the chamber, and with the assistance of grinding media and specially designed discs, the product is recirculated, until brought into the required specification.
Based o its design and small batch capability the important features of the Mill are:

Features
■Production
The unique design of the mill chamber enables the unit to handle large Size particles and reduce them in size to the required specification in a short period of time. For the model MP-3, with a variable capacity of 20-200kgs., the compact design makes it most economical.
■Dispersion
➀Residence time averages about 10 seconds for one pass on most formulations. Based on the multiple pass feature the unit does not have the capability of short passing the product.
②No dead spaces in the chamber assures that interaction of the media, discs and product, allows for a larger than normal processing capacity with reference to the chamber volume. A model MP-3 milling capacity is equivalent to the capacity of a 10 liter media mill.
③Can handle a wide range of viscosities.
■Cleaning
The mill chamber design is very simple, cleaning is an easy function. Color changes are easy therefore production is increased. Approximate cleaning time is ten minutes.
■Operating
Units are compact and mounted on casters. Units can be moved to any location or stored when not in use. The mill chamber capacities are small, therefore, the amount of grinding media needed is small. Average media requirement for the MP-3 is 4kg at an 80% chamber charge.
■Shaft Sealing
Lip seal is standard, but a double mechanical seal is available as an option.
■Cooling
The grinding chamber is jacketed and has excellent cooling capabilities.
■Media Screen
Cartridge type, removable for cleaning and can accommodate media as small as 0.3mm.
■Controls
The unit is furnished with an adjustable shutoff time, a warning buzzer and a product temperature indicator as standard. Additional optional controls can be furnished such as sensors, measuring devices and complete automatic control packages.
